There are two types of access for CONTENTdm Server administration:

1. System Administrator. The CONTENTdm System Administrator can perform all administration tasks on the server including adding and deleting collections. In addition, a System Administrator can perform all operations performed by a Collection Administrator for all collections.

2. Collection Administrator. A CONTENTdm Collection Administrator can perform all maintenance operations on a collection such as adding and deleting items, building the text index, and defining the metadata fields. A user may have Collection Administrator rights on one or more collections.
