By viewing collection reports you can obtain information about each of the collections on the Server and monitor collection growth.

Information available in collection reports includes:

• Total number of items within each collection and all collections combined
• Number of compound objects
• Number of null items (items with no associated file)
• Breakdown of numbers of items by file type (jpg, pdf, tif, mp3, wmv, etc.)
• History of index builds (date and time) tracking the growth of collections over time

To view collection reports:

1. Open the CONTENTdm Server Administration page in your web browser: http://your.address.here/cgi-bin/admin/start.exe

2. Enter your user name and password if prompted. You must log in as the Server Administrator to access the Server Administrator page.

3. From the Server Administrator page, click View collection reports, located in the lower portion of the administration page.

4. The collection reports page opens.

5. To view a history of index builds, click Build History.
