Importing an existing collection requires Server Administration access rights.

To import items from a non-CONTENTdm collection, use the Batch import capability of the CONTENTdm Acquisition Station.

There are two requirements for preparing the data you wish to load:

• You must be able to produce a tab-delimited text file containing the collection's text information.
• One of the fields in the tab-delimited file must contain the file names of the items in the collection

To import a non-CONTENTdm collection, create a new collection on your CONTENTdm Server. Create an Acquisition Station project for the collection. Click Batch Add and the batch add wizard will guide you through the steps required to load your data.
