If you do not already have a selection of items saved as My Favorites, you will need to create them. You will have separate My Favorites files for each server URL. When you enter a server URL into the PowerPoint Plug-in the program will retrieve the My Favorites for the URL you specified. The PowerPoint Plug-in can recognize only My Favorites saved on version 3.3 or higher CONTENTdm Servers.

Note: Using My Favorites requires cookies. If your Web browser settings do not allow cookies to be saved on your computer, you may not be able to use My Favorites without changing your Web browser's privacy settings.

To Add an Item to My Favorites:

1. Search or browse any CONTENTdm collection on CONTENTdm Server 3.3 or greater. When you open an item to view it, links to add items to My Favorites appear in the upper and lower left corners of the display pages.

   

2. Click Add to Favorites. The item and the item description are added to My Favorites. When viewing documents, add single pages by clicking Add Page to Favorites or add whole documents to My Favorites by clicking Add Doc to Favorites.

   

3. Click Back to Search Results to return to browsing or searching.

To Add Multiple Items to My Favorites:

1. From the browse or search results view, place a check in the check boxes to the left of the desired items, or click Select All located at the bottom left of the Web page.



2. Click Add to Favorites.

Only the items on the current Web page may be added to My Favorites. For example, you cannot select items on one results page and move to another page to select more items before adding to My Favorites.
