Creating Monographs

Before you begin: Users of Version 3.6 and greater also have the option to use the Batch Add wizard to create compound objects. This provides a more streamlined process than using the Compound Object Creator (formerly the Compound Object Editor) to create compound objects.

Users of Version 3.5 or earlier must continue to use the Compound Object Creator (formerly the Compound Object Editor) to create compound objects.

Use the Monograph to model documents with hierarchies and allow users to retrieve these documents with the hierarchical structure intact. The Monograph is useful for recreating the structures of journals, books, or diaries.

To make the text of monographs or documents available to users for full-text searching, refer to Enabling Full-text Searching or see the tutorial Creating Documents with Full-text Searching.

  2. Adding Items to Create a Monograph
  3. Editing, Deleting and Reordering Items
  4. Previewing a Monograph
