By viewing a collection report you can obtain information about collections you administer and monitor collection growth.

Information available in collection reports includes:

• Total number of items within the collection
• Number of compound objects
• Number of null items (items with no associated file)
• Breakdown of numbers of items by file type (jpg, pdf, tif, mp3, wmv, etc.)
• History of index builds (date and time) tracking the growth of the collection over time

To view a collection report:

1. Open the CONTENTdm Collection Administration page from the Acquisition Station or in your web browser: http://your.address.here/cgi-bin/admin/start.exe

2. Enter your user name and password if prompted. You must log in as the Collection Administrator to access the Collection Administrator page.

3. From the Collection Administrator page, click View collection report, located in the lower portion of the administration page.

4. The collection report page opens. The first table displays a breakdown of item types the second table enables you to track the growth of your collection.
